Dr. Mark Folks is the owner of Family Dental Associates. Dr. Folks and his wife, Kim, began their practice in 2002 with two operatories and three employees, and have now grown into a 14 operatory practice with 24 employees that serves dental patients from across Northeast Oklahoma and the four-state region.

Dr. Folks’ passion is to serve and give back to his community through dental health and to have a positive impact on his patients, employees, and community. Over the years, Dr. Folks has served on numerous boards and committees which include the Miami Schools Board of Education, Miami Schools Enrichment Foundation, and the Oklahoma Dental Association Board of Directors. He is also very active in his church where he teaches an adult Sunday School class and has served on Church Leadership for many years. Dr. Folks has also participated in several outside dental mission opportunities including the Oklahoma Mission of Mercy.

Dr. Folks grew up in Midwest City, OK and attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, OK where he played football for four years and obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. While at Southwestern, he met his lovely wife Kim while she was pursuing her Pharmacy degree. Dr. Folks attended the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry where he graduated in the top 10% of his class and then completed a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency. He has continued to further his dental knowledge and experience over the years through organizations like the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Academy of General Practice Orthodontics, and the Academy of Implant Dentistry.

Mark and Kim have 3 sons, Christian, Caden, and Carson, who have all attended the University of Arkansas (Woo Pig!). When Dr. Folks is not working, he enjoys OU sports, being outdoors, and working his Hereford cattle operation. He and Kim also enjoy travelling and spending time with friends.

Dr. Matthew A. Keim earned his Bachelor's degree in high school science education before attending the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry, from which he graduated with his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 2003. He continues to advance his dental education regularly by meeting and exceeding the state requirements, and by staying well informed about the latest advances in dentistry. He has received advanced training in implant dentistry as well as oral conscious sedation. Dr. Keim is a member of the American Dental Association, and has practiced in the Miami, Oklahoma, area since 2003.

As a dentist, Dr. Keim's goal to is help his patient achieve optimal overall health by providing the most advanced and effective treatments, not only giving his patients excellent oral function but a confident and beautiful smile.

Outside of the office, Dr. Keim loves fishing and the outdoors. He has 3 children, Blake, Jackson, and Chance.

Kim has been with Family Dental Associates from the beginning. She grew up in Afton, OK and graduated from NEO A&M college with her associate's degree. After NEO, Kim then went on to Southwestern Oklahoma State University where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy. As a pharmacist at Osborn Drugs in Miami, Kim values educating and taking care of her patients. She also enjoys working alongside her husband to have a positive impact on their employees and community. Kims passion is to be able to love and encourage those around her.

Kim is married to Dr. Folks, and they have 3 sons, Christian, Caden, and Carson. She is very active in our community, having served on several boards and organizations, including the Miami Enrichment Foundation, Miami Chamber of Commerce, United Way, and Miami Arts and Humanities Council. Kim was awarded the Mark Rogers Volunteer of the Year in 2022. When her boys were in high school she spent a majority of her time helping with the Wardog Football and Baseball boosters. She is also very active in her church, First Christian Church in Miami, and is one of the organizers for the college mentoring program Shepherding U. In her spare time, Kim enjoys going to see her boys in college, gardening, traveling and being outdoors.

Paige joined Family Dental Associates in 2022. She grew up in Miami, Oklahoma and became a Registered Nurse after graduating from NEO A&M in 2014. Paige has spent her nursing career in the hospital as a bedside nurse providing care for patients. Since she was young, Paige has always had a passion for aesthetics, skincare, makeup and keeping up with the latest beauty and wellness trends. Paige is currently certified in Viora, Pristine & Dermafuse. She is excited for this new journey with the Facial Aesthetics team at Family Dental in helping patients look & feel like their best selves.

Paige and Nick have been married since 2012. Together they have three children, Cooper, Dawson and Evie. Her favorite hobby is spending time with her children and attending their various activities in the community.

Julie has been with Family Dental Associates since 2014. Prior to joining FDA, Julie worked for Dr. Keim for 11 years at his practice downtown. She graduated from Commerce High School and attended NEO and OSU on a softball scholarship. Julie graduated from the Missouri Southern State University Dental Hygiene program in 2003. She has recently been promoted to Hygiene Team Lead and works hard to educate, inspire, and encourage her team to give our patients the best possible care. Julie loves leading a team that works together toward the same goals: educating patients about the health of their mouths and how that affects their overall physical health all the while creating beautiful smiles.

Julie and her husband, Scott, just celebrated 22 years of marriage and share 3 beautiful children. They are a very tight knit family that absolutely loves the great outdoors.

Andrea Mehrens joined Family Dental Associates Miami OK as a Dental Hygienist in January 2022. She attended East Newton High School before graduating from MSSU's Dental Hygiene Department in 2010. Andrea works hard to make sure that all our patients have a great experience and gain knowledge at each of their appointments. She and her husband, Mark, have one son named Joby. They live in Seneca, Missouri and love spending their free time outdoors.

Erin has been with Family Dental Associates since the fall of 2015. She graduated from Miami High School in 2000 and earned her Bachelors in Biology from Oklahoma State University in 2003. Fun fact, anything orange and black in the office makes her smile, GO POKES! Erin graduated from Missouri Southern with a degree in Dental Hygiene in 2011. She loves being able to work within the small town that she grew up in. Erin works alongside our incredible Hygiene Team to ensure that our patients receive the quality care and the knowledge they need to maintain healthy teeth and gums. Erins favorite thing about her job is helping our patients create beautiful smiles that they are proud of.

Erin and her husband, Jason, have been married since 2013. They were blessed with twins, Aiden and Brynlee, in the summer of 2018. Outside of the office Erin enjoys spending time with her family, dragging her husband shopping and seeing new growth within our town!

Faith joined the Family Dental hygiene team in the Spring of 2021. She is from Miami and graduated from Miami High School in 2013. She studied at MSSU, graduating with a bachelors in health science and an associate degree in dental hygiene. Faith and her husband, Jason, have been married for nine years. Together they have two beautiful girls, Eden and Ellie. They are members at Quapaw First Baptist Church and love helping in the community whenever they can.

Mika has been with our team as a dental hygienist since 2015 but her history with Family Dental started when she was in high school. Mika came to the practice with no dental knowledge and quickly became a dental assistant. She graduated from Miami High School in 2005, and attended Missouri Southern State University for dental hygiene, graduating in 2010. In 2015 we welcomed Mika onto the hygiene team.

Mika is one of the most compassionate people you will ever meet. She loves her profession and the relationships she has with every patient. Mika has a giving heart, always willing to help others in any way. She is proud to say that she works with some great ladies and wonderful doctors, she says they are more than coworkers they are family.

Mika and her husband, Brandon, were married in 2008 and have two children, Hudson and Karson. She enjoys spending time with her family. Between her active children and their home art business we don't know how she does it all. She is active in her church and is the secretary of the Miami Enrichment Foundation. Come meet Mika, she will take wonderful care of you and treat you like Family.

Taylor joined Family Dental Associates Miami OK, as a Dental Hygienist, in January 2022. She is originally from Wichita, Kansas. She graduated from Wichita State University's Dental Hygiene Program in 2017. She spent the next four years at a Dental Practice in Fort Worth, Texas. She strives to ensure that our patients receive the quality of care and knowledge they need to maintain healthy gums and teeth. Taylor is excited to be working with our fabulous team and doctors to make beautiful smiles. She enjoys traveling, fishing, and riding horseback with her boyfriend Lucas in her spare time.

Kinzie joined Family Dental Associates in August 2010 as a chairside assistant. She is now Assistant Team Lead, which entails going to trainings and always learning new things to incorporate into our practice to keep her five assistants excelling in their roles.

Kinzie and her husband, Cory, have two boys, Kameron and Kynden. Their days are spent watching their oldest play travel and school basketball while also watching Kynden play baseball and actively compete in motocross.

Erin Krause joined our practice as a chairside dental assistant in April 2021. She graduated from Vinita High School in 2009 and later attended Green Country School of Dental Assisting. Erin wakes up every day excited to work alongside our excellent Doctors and a team full of talented ladies, who have all become more like family! Erin and her husband, Brandon, share four beautiful children. Her big, blended family spends most of their time on a ballfield or court, as the children play ALL the sports. They do enjoy family movie nights when time allows.

Laney joined Family Dental Associates as a chairside dental assistant in June 2021. Making patients feel comfortable during appointments is her number one priority. Laney loves seeing the results of each patient's case. Watching our patients become so confident with their smiles and knowing that she had the pleasure of playing a role in someone's confidence is the most rewarding feeling to her. Laney is currently taking classes at NEO A&M and plans to attend MSSUs dental hygiene program soon. She says that working here at Family Dental, you genuinely have a "family" inside the office! Laney recently became engaged to her fiancé, Gabe, and has two fur babies, Dixie and Cash, which she adores.

Dionne joined Family Dental Associates as a dental assistant in February 2023. She is proud to be a part of a hardworking and passionate team. Dionne is excited to learn, to grow, and to serve her community one patient at a time.

In Dionnes free time she enjoys taking care of her chickens, being outdoors and thrifting vintage clothing!

Jessica joined Family Dental Associates, as a chairside dental assistant, in the summer of 2023. She feels beyond blessed to be a part of such an amazing team and a pillar of the community. Jessica is originally from Wyandotte, but currently lives in Afton with her husband Dalton and their two boys, Harlan and Rowan. In her spare time you can find Jessica and her husband raising livestock and wranglin their boys on the farm!

Michelle has been with our team since 2012. She loves walking our patients through their entire treatment process and getting to know them along the way. Her favorite thing is encouraging patients to move forward with life-changing treatment. "We're not just providing exceptional care, we are changing lives, boosting confidence, and building relationships.

She has been married to her husband, Zack, since May of 2009 and together they have two growing boys that are actively involved in baseball, basketball, and all things outdoors. Good luck spotting Michelle outside of the office as she spends a lot of time with her boys in a tree stand or fishing a nearby pond. Together, her and her husband enjoy hosting cookouts and providing a good meal for a crowd. Michelle loves her family wholeheartedly.

Ashley Turley joined our team in the Winter of 2022. She grew up in Afton and graduated from Afton High School in 2018 and studied at NEO. She loves being a part of an amazing team that gives back to the community and truly cares about the well-being of each member. She is excited to serve the amazing members of the community and help ease the anxiety of patients coming to join the family here at Family Dental Associates.

In Ashley's free time she enjoys hunting, fishing, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends, but especially with her nieces and nephews. She also enjoys attending all the football and basketball games with her boyfriend Blake.

Cecilia has been with Family Dental Associates Miami OK since 2017. She acts as our patient coordinator, and she is an incredible asset to our front office, as she is bilingual. Cecilia creates a warm, welcoming atmosphere for all of our patients. She enjoys making each patient feel valued.

Cecilia and her husband, Andy, have been married since 2006. They have two boys, Louie and Bishop, who are very active in sports. She enjoys spending time with her family outdoors. Cecilia is highly artistic and enjoys crafting.

Mallorie joined Family Dental Associates as an insurance coordinator in August 2021. She came to us with years of dental experience and insurance knowledge. Mallorie and her husband, Dylan, welcomed their first child, Merritt, in March 2022. They also have two fur babies, Gyntri and Sage. Outside of the office, Mallorie stays busy running a jewelry business, Rafter W Design Co., where she creates unique pieces, mainly of Navajo pearls and turquoise.

Mika joined our team in October of 2016 and has several years of experience in working with dental insurance. She graduated from Miami High in 2002 and from NEO in 2004 before studying at Missouri State University. She loves our patients and works hard in handling insurance so that our patients do not have to deal with it themselves.

Mika and her husband, Robert, have two daughters named Carolina and Livingston. Mika and her family are beekeepers and enjoy a little farm, garden, cows, sheep, goats, cats, and dogs outside the office. She also dabbles in winemaking and brewing and enjoys ringing the bell for the Salvation Army and Hearts & Hammers. Mika is an active member of the FUMC of Miami.

Kelsey joined Family Dental Associates in March of 2022. She grew up in Fairland and graduated from Fairland High School in 2015. Kelsey continued her education at NEO A & M, graduating with her associate degree in 2017. From there she attended Rogers State University graduating in 2020, with her bachelors degree in Business Administration. Kelsey has been in customer service since 2012 and loves the opportunity to serve the people in our community. Kelsey is grateful to be a part of the Family Dental team and is excited to serve all our incredible patients. In Kelsey's free time, you'll catch her watching ALL CHIEFS football games at home or at Arrowhead Stadium. She also enjoys hanging out with her boyfriend Dillon, friends, and family. She believes she has the greatest nephews in the world!

Brianne has been with Family Dental Associates since 2007 when she moved from Kansas City, MO to Miami. She is our Hygiene Coordinator, Culture Creator and is on the Marketing Team. She loves to focus on the culture of our office, making our team and patients feel valued and special. Brianne truly enjoys how we work together as a team to provide our patients with the best possible care.

Brianne and her husband, Tyson, have been married since 2007 and have a daughter, Kylee. She is very active in her church, Lake Center Baptist on Monkey Island, where Tyson serves as their Student Pastor. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, crafting and photography.

Dana joined the Family Dental Associates team in May 2015. She is one of our Scheduling/Treatment Coordinators and our Marketing Director. Dana graduated from Miami High School and studied at NEO Oklahoma A&M College. She brings a unique point of view to our practice, in that she has a healthy fear of being in the dental chair. Being able to empathize when scheduling our patients and putting them at ease for their dental care is what is most rewarding to her. She is also a part of the Family Dental Associates team that attends the Oklahoma Mission of Mercy each year. Dana loves being part of a phenomenal team that gives back and genuinely cares about patients overall health and wellbeing.

Dana and her husband, Darian, have been married since 2002. Together they share six children, three of which serve in the Armed Forces, and ten grandchildren! In her spare time, you will likely find Dana and her family enjoying the great outdoors, preferably by a body of water. They are also avid basketball fans and LOVE Sooner football, catching every game they can!
